Our beloved founder, Chris Dant, passed away in December, 2021.  Chris' wife, Kim Dant, is continuing the family business.  On September 26, 2022, Dant Insurance will celebrate 40 years of outstanding insurance service in Central Indiana.

Chris Dant founded Dant Insurance Agency as a small insurance agency on the southside of Indianapolis in 1982.  Chris had a vision for a unique type of insurance agency.  Unique in the sense that the agency would be customer focused and offer a level of service unmatched in the insurance industry.

Dant Insurance Agency started business with a single client whose records were maintained on an index card. Dant Insurance Agency initially marketed life insurance only.  There were no computers or other high tech equipment, just the determination of an agent to provide great service.

Thirty-five years later, Dant Insurance Agency has grown to a staff of 8 and with many thousands of clients. Our staff is experienced and knowledgeable with more than 185 years of combined experience.  We now are a full-lines agency, offering personal lines as well as commercial lines and specialty areas of insurance.
